Ways to Lower Your Stress, part III
~ Go to Virtual Bubble-Wrap and pop some bubbles. Turn the volume up, invite your co-workers over and pop all the bubbles. It might not exactly lower your stress level, but it will take your mind off the stress for a bit and make you decently popular with your cubicle-mates.
~ Work at being less of a perfectionist. Forget to dot that “i, and forget to cross your “t. If I could in this blog entry, I would. Maybe I should just leave out an entire letter or something. Maybe one day I’ll write an entire post with no vowels … that might make me more stressed out that writing a real entry though! Know that you’re not perfect (no one is) and that you’re going to be causing unnecessary stress on yourself dotting all those “i’s.
~ Listen to some music. Just like listening to Keith and the Girl, you can turn on some music and just rock out. Put it on the car (turn it up and sing along), play it on your iPod (but at a safe decibel range so as not to encourage hearing loss at an early age) or turn it on while you do the dishes. Listen to music that makes you happy and appreciate the talent that it took to create that artwork!

~ If you have the money, make the time to get a massage. If you don’t have the money, get a best friend in massage school and buy her a bottle of wine, then make her drive two hours South to your house and rub your back in your own living room. (I have no experience with that … no, none. /lie) Massages are great ways to just shut down and relax. Let the music playing (or bring your iPod and play your own music) flow through your ears and don’t think about all the stuff you have to do. It can wait.
