New Beginnings
It’s a new year, did you make any goals or resolutions? I did! I set 57 of them. In the two years past I set 105 (for ‘05) and 106 (for ‘o6) but this year I only set 57. I normally only get to about 75% of them, so I figure if I cut it down by 1/2 I’ll meet some of the more in-depth goals.
Growing up I was taught the “SMART” acronym for setting goals.
Make your goals:
* S Specific - finish Kewi’s baby cross-stitch project
* M Measurable - it’ll be easy to measure my progress, the further I get on it, the more stitching is actually visible
* A Attainable - if I work an hour a day, I should be able to get it done.
* R Relevant - it is relevant because it’s specifically for Kewi’s baby!
* T Time-bound - time bound because the baby is due in April, and I’d like to put the finishing (name & birthdate) stitches on it right after he’s born
I absolutely recommend using the SMART acronym to set up your goals. Try it to see if it’s for you!
