Merry Christmas Meme
I’ve been too busy talking about depression in the elderly to really talk about Christmas. Alicia put up a great non-mental Christmas survey and I had to nab it! Thanks Alicia!
Merry Christmas/Happy Kwanzaa/Happy Hanukkah/Pleasant Winter Solstice to each of my readers.
1. Hot chocolate or apple cider? Apple cider … I usually buy an entire box of it at Costco in December but didn’t this year. I should go now and get it.
2. Turkey or Ham? Turkey! Gobble gobble!
3. Do you get a Fake or Real cut-it-yourself Christmas tree? I didn’t get a tree this year. Last year I had an itty-bitty fake tree
4. Decorations on the outside of your house? This is the first year … Santa’s out there on a wreath saying “Happy Holidays!”
5. Snowball fights or sledding? Sledding, absolutely.
6. Do you like hanging around the fireplace because it’s warm? I love to sit in front of a warm fireplace … but don’t have one of my own.
7. Do you enjoy going downtown shopping? No. Thanks though.
8. Favorite Christmas song? “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” or “Carol of the Bells”
9. How do you feel about Christmas movies? I only like A Christmas Story and Elf.
10. When is it too early to start listening to Christmas music? Before Thanksgiving.
11. Stockings before or after presents? Growing up it was before, while married it was after, now divorced there are none.
12. Carolers? Never had ‘em come to my house, but I’ve been a caroler many times.
13. Go to someone else’s house or they come to you? Go to my parents’.
14. Do you read the Christmas Story the night before Christmas? No.
15. What do you do after presents and dinner? We do dinner, then presents, then movies and hanging out.
16. What is your favorite holiday smell? Cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning!
17. Ice skating or walking around the mall? In Portland you can do both! I’d rather walk though, ice skating makes me hurt.
18. Favorite Christmas tradition? OLIVES! I love olives and rarely eat as many as I do during Christmas.
19. Favorite Part about winter? Skiing. I realized this morning, though, I haven’t been in 18 months though.
20. Ever been kissed under the mistletoe? Yes. Years ago.
