I’m late! I’m late; for a very important date!
So, Jummy recently did a post on taking a break and then Amanda did a post on taking a break and I just had to continue the trend my doing my own post on taking a break!
Jummy concentrated on three main ways to tell whether you need a break:
You feel exhausted, you resent the tasks you once enjoyed and it’s always on your mind.
After a little more reading around, I found a few more signs that you might want to keep an eye out for!
You sit at your desk, in your chair, more than you don’t. (This isn’t so good for your posture, by the way!)
You exercise by rolling your neck and moving your eyes to a distant object. (At least you’re rolling your neck?)
You have worn spots on your desk or your chair from where your arms rest. (*looks at her laptop* *is embarrassed that her wrists have worn colored spots on the laptop*)
You don’t like long weekend vacations as much because you know you’re going to come home to 180 blogs that you need to “catch up” on. (I am SO guilty of this one!)
There are definitely signs in my life that I need to take a break, but what does one do when they really cannot take a break? I have to go to class (16 hours a week), I have to study (probably another 30 hours a week working homework & studying), I have to work (and end up working about 25 hours a week). So right there that’s 71 hours a week that I am doing stuff. Mind you, there are 168 hours in a week, so the majority of my week isn’t spent on things I have to do, but sleeping, eating, and getting myself ready all has to be done, too. Hmmm, this gives me an idea … I think I might want to track what I’m actually doing with my time. Anyone want to join me?

Oh, I hear you! I’m doing the same amount of things each week… well, except my homework is usually done in the back of my friend’s car while we drive to school, because on top of class and work, I’m doing a work placement three days per week as well.
I’m not sure when my next vacation is going to be, although thankfully my mental health seems to be keeping in check, so hopefully I can get through this last year of school without problems!
I hope you can too! (And I may start tracking my non-working hours too. What DO I do with all that time?!)
