Getting Knocked Up
What a way to introduce a new subject! Last night MissBean and I saw Knocked Up. It was the one-year anniversary of our simultaneous dumpings (and we didn’t even know one another then) so we decided to have ourselves some fun and enjoy our evening. I had dinner with MissBuckeye (who was too tired to join us for the movie) and after I stopped giggling about her locking her keys in her running car, we had two margaritas and then went back to MissBean’s house to vegetate for an hour before sending MissBuckeye home and heading towards the theater. The movie was hilarious and Bean & I laughed hysterically for the entire movie. It was dumb humor and JUST what we needed for the evening!

I hate it when you have more fun than me. (kidding.)

I went to grad school in the Artic tundra. The year I did my clinicals we had a particularly bad winter with huge storms weekly or more and the lowest temps I’ve ever experienced.
My car needed 20-30 minutes to warm up every morning, so every morning I put on boots, coat, hat, gloves and scarf and went out to start the car before I dried my hair, put on makeup, etc.
The coldest morning I lived in that state the windchill was far below zero. I got the car started, which was a miracle, only to realize I had locked my house keys in the house and my car key in the car. I had spare keys hidden outside, but unfortunately they were unreachable due to the 3 feet of snow.
So I had to walk around my trailer park looking for someone’s light to be on to knock on a stranger’s door to ask to call for help.
Humiliating!

I’ve been dying to see that movie. Now I just need to convince the hubby!
