Feeling Good

by

I’ve discussed quite in depth how having physical pain, like a broken bone or chronic pain somewhere, can cause you to have serious emotional and mental stress.  If your body is taxed and trying to care for it a little extra in the physical department, then some part of your health has to be left behind.  And, usually that is the emotional and mental health.

Well, today I’m going to go the other route.  What makes you change your mood when nothing has truly changed?  Out of the blue today I decided that it was indeed time for my hair to be cut or trimmed.  I left home with it looking so bad I was almost embarrassed.  I wore my sunglasses into the salon and ran for cover behind a wall.

I tried for 10 years to grow long hair and I was unsuccessful.  When it did finally start to grow, it was really pretty I thought and I loved it.  But, last fall I got the hankering for one of those new do’s that everyone has and I had it cut off.  Now the time is drawing near and I”m going to be without a pony tail this summer.  That’s almost illegal.

So, I had her cut it in a way that would be conducive to growing it out and to slap me if I ever suggested cutting it again.

Anyway, that’s not what I was planning to talk about.  What I was going to tell you was, she cut my hair, dried it, plumped it up good, waxed my eyebrows and wooohoo girly was good to go.  Well, if you didn’t count those big red stripes around my eyebrows.  I might actually get a good photo of me with fixed hair AND make up at the same time.  You never know….

And, without losing any of the pain, I felt better…weird eh?
