A bit sad & frustrated

by Sarah Gould

Okay, so I want more people to read this blog. I want people to be excited to see what’s going on in mental & emotional health, but I don’t know how!

I don’t know what ya’ll want to read.

Do you want more news? I can get you more news!
Do you want to read stuff about me? I can talk about me!
Do you want me to keep track of my food? This might encourage me to start eating better!

Tell me! Please! I want to appeal to those who are reading this blog, and if I don’t know what you want to read, I can’t write it! I would really appreciate some help here!! : )

edited to add: Thank you Bill!
* sleep, esp trouble waking
* SAD
* holistic remedies vs. drug treatment

Thank you Neelima!
* brain science (I am highly interested in how the brain actually works and so this could lead to some education on my part, too!)

  1. Bill Says:

    I would love to read more about sleep. I often have trouble waking up and I don’t know why.
    Also seasonal depression. Holistic remedies for depression and sleep problems vs. drug treatment.

    Basically issues that personally affect me, but thats just my $.02

    More about developments in the field of brain science would be interesting Sarah.

  3. Sarah Says:

    I like what you’re doing with the news, but I think I’d like to see more about you. I am always curious about your journey. I think making that personal connection might help draw people in?

  4. Eleanor Says:

    Hi sarah, i just found your blog today and i thought i could provide some information regarding sleep and depression that you could write about on your blog, as I see Bill has requested further on this area!

    I also run a mental health blog dealing with latest developments in mental health and psychotherapy from the human givens approach.

    REM sleep and depression are highly linked, and just understanding why can really help anyone to manage low periods in their life and prevent these turning into full blown depression.

    I have written several posts about this topic on my blog, here’s one:
    http://mindsalot.wordpress.com/2006/11/01/how-worrying-leads-to-depression/

    And on the front page there is also a link to a youtube video which explains how depression and sleep are linked, and why depressed people often wake up exhausted.

    Anyway, I hope this will be of help to you when researching this topic, and I will have a proper look at the rest of your blog now!

    best wishes,
    Eleanor
