101 Things About Me, V
41. h Keith & the Girl is, by far, my favorite podcast. Keith and his girlfriend Chemda spend at least an hour a day talking about nothing, and it’s always funny. Keith rants about news, about old people, about doctors & dentists, and Chemda (with a literal hehehe-laugh) laughs at him, with him, and about him. I save my KATG podcast until I’ve listened to all the rest of them so that I always have something to look forward to!
i. Merriam-Webster’s Word of the Day is exactly what it looks like - a new word every day and I excitedly learn something cool about linguistics because of this podcast!
j. National Geographic Minute is kinda like 60-Second Science, but from National Geographic instead of Scientific American. I am such a geek. I love NG!
k. National Geographic News is a longer version of the National Geographic Minute and is often 20-25 minutes long on multiple topics - the “best” stories of the week are shared and a quiz-of-the-week is always presented.
l. Nova | PBS podcast is a science and public broadcast podcast with a wide variety of blurbs once a week.
m. NPR’s Story of the Day is a story every day that NPR editors “think you shouldn’t miss!” Five to 10 minutes long it gives you a great introduction to what NPR is if you’ve never listened to the wonderfulness that it is.
n. Science Channel Features podcast is a Discovery channel podcast that is similar to the other science podcasts but with Discovery channel involvement instead.
o. Sex is Fun Radio podcast is a “rational discussion” of sexuality and sexual things. The hosts are both amusing and educating and I recommend it to both singles and coupled people!
p. Spooky in the City is podcast done by Spooky (who is also a frequent guest on Keith & the Girl) learning to be single in the big city of New York. He can’t cook, he can’t clean, he can’t decide if he wants to really be single for a year or date women. He is amusing … especially when he yells about frozen turkeys.
(50) q. The Body Odd is a podcast from MSN done by the authors of Why Do Men Have Nipples and a health editor at MSN. They are hilarious and while not always particularly educational (because sometimes it’s just too funny), it’s entertaining to listen to.
r. The Official LOST Podcast is the podcast dedicated to my favorite show ever. I was bummed when I got up this morning and learned that it hasn’t been updated since last night’s episode. The producers, Damon L. and Carlton C. spend about half an hour rehashing the episodes and making jokes about the show.
s. Today in Music History is just what it looks like - the history of music day-by-day, featuring some of the music that is spoken about. If you’re at all interested in music, please check out Brian’s podcast!
